SOJT starts

Stands for Structure On the Job Training(SOJT). it wil b a 4mths training, a mth @ RHQ, where we learn abt the managing system of the lockup(accused all in here) and Op rms(a place where they depatch msges 2 e FRC(fast response car, in short police car). Rite aft which, i'll b heading to Cck Npc for the rest of e 3mths. bt this will nt b my final posting. The actual posting will b known aft a presentation on the SOJT i have gone thru during the 4mths.

Hopfully i can adapt 2 e police life as quickly as possible. All e way!

Got this piece of news fr my communcation I/C ard 12+pm today. This was my best Christmas's present i ever received. My god, surprisingly e Nobody-tot-of-entering coast guard rejected me! i was dumped into divison,may b division really needs Manpower that's y i'm ended up here. Ohh my God,which mean i'll haf 2 face member of public, e police force 1st enemy on earth.

Reporting 2 work on the 28th of Dec to RHQ(Regional HeadQuarter), which is 'J' Division HQ @ 8.30am, Full Uni! Finally can wear my rank to face the public, hee hee...i tink that's e onli part dat can gimme some comfort. Sob Sob...

Whatever its, the rank [>>>] will go to the battlefield with me together for e rest of my life. Finally e challenges came,tues morning a brand new day, Sgt Yap here u go!

Salute 2 my Police Mug

This blog entry i'll entirely tok abt a mug given by my best frd in Poly - JUDY SAW( i mz bold n cap it 2 make it obvious)
She gave it 2 mi recently as my belated 21st birthday's present.

it's an Occupation Mug printed with this: Proud to be a 100% qualified, arresting, public protecting, investigating, law enforcing Police Officer.

it's unique jude, i luv it~ =) Thks once again 4 ur effort in finding this special Mug. Obviously i'll nt use it 4 drinking purposes, in fact i'll keep it as a treasure? Hee hee...

Fav Food N Drinks

I had gone thru my past blogs, i discovered something...

Everything blog i blogged was abt my training! since i had passed out out TRACOM, i guess its time 2 write something abt myself....it's my blog site n obviously everything here is all abt me. so let's start with my fav food followed by drinks?

• Fav Food

Since i was primary school, my fav food is Duck Drumstick! i rem when im in sec 3, i told my frd, gimme a duck drumstick as my birthday's present and he did brought mi 1 aft sch hrs. I rem dat clearly, it was $3 bt i dun mind e price of e item, its e thoughts dat count. i appreciated it bcos im a simple person n i can realli gt contented easily... =)

I once told my frds in sec sch dat if ever a girl knees dw infront of me with a duck drumstick on her hands, i'll Marry Her! Provided i like her la,no ani Ah lian Ah Hua pls...n this concept still stays in my mind till nw... Whahahahahahaha..

• Fav Drinks

When it cums 2 drinks,it gotta b Teh Bing(Ice Milk Tea) n my Fav Jia Jia Herbal Tea. Both drinks r my all time fav kopitiam drinks. When i went to diff kopitiam,ordered for Jia Jia, e kopi-runner sumtimes will gave mi Jing Jing or Tian Tian( Imitation of Orignal JJ-HT) n i hate it!! When i orders, i say "Auntie/Uncle gimme JIA JIA liang cha" n when they gave mi tian tian or jing jing cha,i'll say i dun wan e can of drinks, gimme teh bing instead. i'm so so particular abt my drinks, loyal to my JJ n Teh Bing, Cheers!

If u tink wat im writing is all craps, pls dun bother 2 read my blog animore bcos this blog is all abt me,myself and I. Hmm...more abt me in future blog since there's nth much 2 read in future. hee hee....

Gd Bye 2 Police Academy,Training Command(TRACOM).

When it's time 2 go...u gotta go...

the 1st day i came into TRACOM was 14th of june 04 n e last day i stepped into it was today,15th of dec 04. It will b exactly 6mths in tracom n altot life dw there was tiring bt i learnt alot for the past 6 mths.

Drills( Static and Rifle), 1st Aid course, Range Shooting, Unarmed tactics,T-baton course,Swimming, Law Manual,Senario Based Test and mani more really trained mi 2 b a really policeman to face the future challenges ahead of me.

"Missed" the FOC mess food fr breakfast all e way to dinner + Nite Supper with bread and pkt of drinks. Playing Arcade in OB(Orderly Barrack) room, Whacked by FI in the morning, Fighting over 1 pathetic toilet in the morning, Smoking secretly in the balcony(luckily nv kana caught b4), smuggle cigarettes in, Complain abt this n dat abt some FI, recreaction Training like Soccer match, Flag raising, Wed Mass Cal(sumthing like 5BMX in NS), attending every single course, DOzing off in cls, Marching in step fr place to place, Trying very hard for pull up(finally cleared), Complaining abt the Mess food, went canteen aft training hrs, external courses, Forcing every officer taking us for lesson to share their experiences and mani more...

ACtually there's alot bt i jz cant rem all! May b in future i'll look back n realli miz e dayz i had in tracom n in fact nw im really missing it so much! Aniwae as i said, when u haf 2 go, u mz go...Miz FI Hassan for the guidance thru-out the training and my beloved 37 sqmates in charlie coy blk 19.


May e sweet memories follow us along our life 4eva, till e day i die. 38 of us untied as 1...

Last Nite

12th of dec was my last nite in PA. I din slp at all lor!!! Playing e game "in Between" thru out e nite. On e nxt day morning went for passing out rehearsel. Damn tiring...almost 27hrs w/o a sleep....by e time i gt hm, i went 2 my bed n i guess less den 1min i dozed off...ZzZz...

Tmr nite will b e POC (Passing Out Cermony), e day i waited for so long n nw its so near 2 me. Yes, tmr i'll b taking my Warrent Card and e Rank. Whaha...finally i'll b SGT instead of T/SGT (T= Training). 6mths of "hardwork" n nw its time 4 mi 2 relaX! on WEd will b De-kiting day, e day i return everything back 2 PA..Raincoat,mess kit, bedsheet, pillow case n haf 2 clear everything in my drawer. I'll b bringing a BIG police bag,which written of a sentence - Another Innovative by Police Logistics. I was pissed off when i saw dat sentence on e bag, cause Logistics dept in PA suxs, i mean as a whole Police force. We requested for a change in drill boot and they promise 2 give us b rite until nw, we still dreaming abt it...

Morning haf 2 go rehearsal AGAIN! Abit lame bt still gt no choice, haf 2 go... =(

Looking forward 2 my Block Leave aft e dekiting daY, 16-27th of DEc!! whaha...12days of nuan nuan days...hee hee,finally can relax abit, HORRAY~

Last Book In

Booking in for e last time. I feel a sense of relieve...my mood for e day will b a peaceful 1...guess 2nite will slp very late since its e last nite in PA. =(

I'll like 2 thks my FI(Field Instructor) during my stay in PA, his name is Senior Staff Segeant Hassan Ismail. I can still rem e 1st day i entered PA, he took notice of mi. it was 14th of June 04, in the Mass(e place we always haf our "nice food). I asked him 1 qns.

Me: "Sir, wat time fall in ar?"

Hassan: "u dun ask so much qns, jz eat la!"

Later we went 2 e Lecture Hall for Admin WorK.

He told us....

Hassan: "U guys r nt allowed to go canteen(Good food dw there, mz pay 4 it la..$) during training"

i was curious n AGain, i ask him another qns..

Me: "Sir,Y?"

Hassan: "U again, u seem 2 like 2 ask alot of qns, what's ur name?"

Me: "Hendry Sir"

Hassan: "I'll rem ur name"

HAHAHAHAHA (E room r filled with laughter)

Hassan: "Hendry? I dun like the name Hendry"

Later on e training dayz den i found out dat he's a Man U supporter! cos Henry is fr Man u rival - Arsenal.

Fr den he "targeted" at me. Always kana fr him. Scold mi like hell. Bt still i dun hate him, in fact i tink he's a very nice FI, jz dat he "acting" 2 b fierce bt he haf a gd heart. WHen i say fierce, he really veri fierce!!! he will come into our barrack ard 5+am n on e lights. Shout and shout!!! he will gif us 1min 2 fall in n u can imaging e ppl in e barrack was rushing here n there..lolz..

I tot i wun b able 2 pass my IPPT bt he helped me alot altot scolding aft scolding, i still sense dat he wun wanna let us fail.

My sqmates tot i dislike him bt they were all wrong! He's my idol in PA n i'll rem him in my heart 4eva as a gd FI...Thks Hassan!

Finally...i passed mY IPPT! Yeah...What a miracle!! Amazingly i'll b a Police officer as fr nxt tues...haha, i was too happy 2 imagine e day 2 arrive.

Yes,its was a miracle.
ppl A: "Aiya, u r undergoing for a police officer basic training course(POBTC), in futute surely bcum a policeman de ma,y worry?"
Me: Bt u r nt me, imaging when most of ur sqmates passed their ippt n u r e few of them left, n Passing out date was nearer n nearer,y nt worry?"

Yes yes yes...i still say passing out is a miracle. It's jz like in sec sch, where i tink going Poly was a dream. Looking back e history of me, i tot i was such a lucky guy. nv really study in pri sch, gt into NA stream in sec sch(with agg 182,i deserved it) bt managed to passed my N lvl English with a P5(That was e lowest passing grade) and O lvl with a C6(Lowest too in O) which was e weakest sub all e while. SO SO SO..got into Nanyang Poly, Marketing..with a agg of 21. A business sch...Goosh, i was tinking this MR yap can gt into business sch? I was unbelievable 2 Grd fr Nyp and AGAIN, i was so so so lucky 2 b selected out of so mani ppl who applied for e police force. I was again, lucky 2 b able 2 passed my IPPT on e last wk of e training.

I'm a lucky Boi n welcome 2 my world of gd luck n chances. Rem 2 pray 4 mi when u r dw... =)

It's e No. which i saw everyday whenever i wanted 2 light up a stick of cigarette. Each n every stick causes my life in earth 2 b shorten.

Yes, im a smoker for years n its hard 2 quit. Life will nv ez once u lighten up yr 1st stick, so a gentle reminder 4 non-smoker's: Dun even try ur 1st stick.

Gd news! I'm going 2 quit smoking soon..i found my motivation! bt im nt telling u guys what drive me.. =)

10 Reasons y i wanted 2 quit smoking:

1) Tobacco smoke can kill babies. (I found my 1st reason on the Marlboro Cig packaging, its lame i knw my family don haf a baby. I promise nxt reason will b a better 1...)

2) It's an expensive habit. (Each Pkt cost my $9.50, imaging i can go public toilet 95 times a day, goosh...each visit i spent 15mins. which mean Toilet can b my new prison cell for 24hrs a day, so scary...)

3) I dun look cool when i smoke. (Non-smoker will try 2 avoid me n i tink im outcasted by them, i look stupid)

4) Teeth turns Yellowish. (Eeeee....I better nt smile)

5) Smelly "Perfume" (Stings...PPl run away fr me aft i smoked,thks 4 e perfume, brand of e perfume? Ans: Marlboro)

6) Tobacco can kill me (I dun wan 2 get Lung Cancer when im in my 40's, it will b very suffering..)

7) Cig Seller always check my IC. (I hate n luv this. Hate: troublesome 2 take out my IC 2 prove 2 them im above 18 n i'm 22 Nxt yr! Luv: which mean i still look young, hee hee...)

8) Non-Smoker Looks. (When i light up a stick infront of a "NEW" frd. they will ask this qns: So y smoke huh? i replied: Nah, i inserted a chalk onto my mouth.)

9) It harms my family. (Poor Daddy and Mummy, im sorry.. =~( stop coughing k?)

10) Some1 Special appears in my life. (Yes! She's e 1, who gave mi support thru out my training in PA, urge mi 2 quit smoking by nagging n nagging and NAGGING. She's e MAIN reason y i wanted 2 quit smoking. =X )

I dun tink she will read my blog so... haha....stil dun wan 2 tok much abt her. u guys dun KPO ar, dun ask mi who's she. E journey 2 a smoke-free life is coming soon, before Christmas i guess...

Probably Last Book Out Day For Me

Stress. Most of my feeling was under stress in PA. 2dae is 3rd and POC is on e 14th!
Wondering wat will my life will be in a few wks time...Can i pass out peacefully?

I'm still very worried abt my IPPT.

Tempting over my Bonus on 12th of Dec. That was a big sum of $ man. ard $2K to close to $3k of $ into my a/c. Will i gt it? Hopefully ba....

This coming Mon will b my final IPPT. So i'll rest @ hm during e weekends. I wan 2 rest w/o giving much pressure 2 myself . I knw i need 2 rest n b 100% prepared for Mon battle. God pls help me (if there's 1).

Whatever the outcome, life still goes on aft dat. i knw nw its nt 4 mi 2 decide n all leave it 2 faith, as long as i try my very best. I was toopid in the 1st few mths of e training. I felt paiseh infront of e pull-up bar n refused 2 face e reality, nt until e last 2mths of e training. Now im panicing, i deserved all these, no1 is 2 b blamed.

secs passes by now n den, fr e moment u read this blog, i may b pulling myself all e way up 2 heaven. Whether e results is a pass or fail, i gt no regrets. Will update u guys on e nxt blog.

Nw wat i'll do will b this: Watch BIG MATCH btw EPL league leader take on Newcastle united on sat nite, 8.50pm. Till den, sit back n relaxX~..
