Cousin's Marriage Crisis

I should be doing a makeover on my wardrobe and have a change of style. Some of my clothes in my wardrobe has been there since I was in Poly days, it contains some historical value and I am so not into throwing it away. The fact that I will not wear it again due to the age change as well as the SIZE change.

Black and dark blue are my favorite colour and Wendy said it was too dull. My skin tone was rather fair and light colours suit me best. Last Friday met her for the second time for a quick lunch and grab some light food at Mache before some crazy shopping at Timerland, Somerset 313.

She was my fashion coordinator, influx of shirts and pants, asking me to try out. She did not even look at the price tag and asked me to try out. With some satisfaction, I brought three top and a pants in the quickest instance, my world record for 30 years.

Due to the festive season of Hair Raya, had a midnight Mahjong at my cousin's house after work. Some ghostly encounter when my JR cousin won two fantastic game with 十三幺 and  大三元 in a single round. Hilarious when he actually threw a blue tile away to the rubbish bin after changing the Mahjong paper. Right after which and replaced the Mahjong set, the below happened - First day of the Hungry Ghost Festival.

It was so tiring considering I am home after a day outside. The day ended with some drama when my old cousin's Vietnam wife was furious that my cousin extended the play and she actually walked out of the unit when the game is in play. My cousin even bid good bye to her and told us that 'we shouldn't always pamper woman'. At certain way, I felt that it's a view-perspective issue. I felt that my cousin should pamper her since they are newly wed and his wife should tolerate and not shown in front of us. What is the point of getting married for the sake of it? I felt it was a wrong decision which destroy the virtue of happiness. I was told that JR's wife was seen by relative for holding hands with a guy outside and it was caught by relatives. Again, the shot gun marriage is facing a crisis with the Vietnam's cousin wife begging for understanding.

What's wrong with the modern marriage for now? I could not make any sense out of it. I am so glad that I am a single man with a carefree life, if marriage should be maintain that way.

Rare meet up with someone from IRC

I am just back home after watching transformer at Cathay with Wendy. She initiated for a meetup and I thought she must be up to something, buying insurance plan etc having not meet for 5-6 years. She came and pick me up with her Cherry QQ with lots of car problem as she nags all day long. We went off to Mookata - Thai cuisine at Golden Mile complex, along the way, she get the freaking hell of me considering the way she drove is slightly reckless. Well - we reached the destination quite late considering the few wrong route when GPS is helping us a little.

I was wrong, she wasn't up to anything at all and it caught me surprise - totally. It's really a simple catch-up and tons of topic just flows between us, the main topic life work philosophy of life and her car. There isn't much people can talk to me in that way and I can't rest my lips at all even in the movie theater. Anyway, I knew Wendy about 10 years back when she was still a secondary school student, in Internet Relay Chat (IRC - Dinosaur era). I meet her the first time at Causeway point for a movie and she was wearing this hill grove secondary school uniform then, classic. She was 14 when I first meet her and from there on, we meet a few occasion and I have to admit that I once had a crush on her. I find her as someone who is quite realistic but somehow found some uniqueness in her which I can't explain.

Can see that she had matured by quite a lot where I still maintain the same as before. She told me to change my way of living as my job is too stagnant. It's quite true in her sense, considering that I've been doing the same old shit job for the past 10 years. Something ought to be change and may be this is the turning point of my life. The day ended where we hunt for the car park deck in the mall and it was like a maze. A small episode of freaking feeling when her car can't start but finally able to move off - god bless that I can be home slightly early, not that early.

Off from her car, finally I am convinced that she was not up to no good. Till I see you again when she said 'I hope to see some changes in you when the next time I meet you.'
