My body is like a convenience shop

Sickness hit me real hard in recent months. Someone who fall sick like half yearly and now it became a monthly affair. Due to the world cup packed matches daily, I continue to follow some important matches apart from working shift. Immune system thwarted to the bottom core as I invite my worst sickness in recent years. Day 1 started with some throat itchiness and I jolly well know it's always the appetiser to the full course meal. After I woke up, I felt like a generator which could not supply any power. I simply go to work and was not being appreciated. I was furious by my boss when I requested to go home early after night shift. May be I could not express myself well during the time of sickness, he claimed that I was attitude.

Day 2 I was feverish and spent most of my time sleeping. I kept on sleeping and I think I spent the whole day staying on my bed. I felt so powerless once again. Day 3, decided to see a doctor and give myself some medical leave, a well deserved one since no one is appreciative towards a sick man who come to work. With that, I excused myself with 3 days of MC. Waited at the clinic for an hour and a half before I was prescribe with 4 types of medicines. I think this is very serious, having slight fever of 38.5, throat inflamed with coughing of thick blood, my taste bud was nowhere to be found as a I barely finish half of my every meal. Weight lost of about 3 kg with a constant diarrhea. Throw up a little after food. My body is like a convenience shop now, all the common sickness can be found in me.

Getting sick now is like a girl having menses. Anyone like it?

Uncle Hendry

Aging is a life process and the number will kept on increasing to the point it stopped and wave good bye to the good life. I'm not afraid to die but getting older and being labelled as Uncle was something not very smoothing to my ears. I admitted that I got angry at times when people know my actual age and called me Uncle.

Perhaps they are just pulling my legs and having the fun of it. Deep down of me, I'm still wondering if time really flies when we can't do anything to delay it. This effect of feeling old should have a greater impact on girls as beauty might be once their attraction. Anything which ages should leave traces of weakness and imperfection. It's the mindset of us which depreciate the sucky feeling of oldlyness.

Want to be young and energised? We have to feel young to be one of them.

Today I am the Staff Sergeant of the Singapore Police Force

1) Certificate!

2) Group Photo with Commissioner of Police

3) I love the crest to the max, 2nd June will be the day where I don this Majulah aka crab!

4) My first promotion for 10 years, resilience and perseverance for obtaining my first rank.

As of today, 1st June 2014, I am officially the Staff Sergeant of the Singapore Police Force! I joined the force on 14th June 2004.

I've waited 9 years 11 months and 18 days to attain my first ever rank. Some say it is a tragic but I think it is a blessing in disguise. Bosses take care of me well since I was debarred. But I still continued to work giving my very best, at least the minimum. I deserved that rank, although it came quite late than others. I am so proud myself when I walked up to the stage to accept the promotion certificate. I think there is a lot more work to do and not be big headed. There are so many people out there for me to help. Should continue to work as per normal for whatever rank I was holding. It is the uniform in blue that counts. :)

Signing off, Staff Sergeant!
