HTWS - Home Team (Western Sector) Challenge

Yesterday went to Pulau Ubin for e Home Team (Western Sector) Challenge 2005. Represent my NPC for e yearly event. Nv slp 4 e previous nite n we set off to Marina Country Club(pugguol). Siti, dennis, khairu, eugene sim n me r in e team. Last min eugene fall slp n couldnt turn up. We tot we were disqualified bt 1 guy - David Sing fr investigation branch (IB) managed 2 squeeze into our team 2 form a team of 5. it was drizzing in this early morning when we haf our registration. Dennis supposingly 2 b e team captain bt knn la him, dun wanna wear e tag with safety pin coz he scared his shirt will haf lobang aft e event. I was forced to be e team captain. Upon registration, they use a black marker 2 drawn on our arm n leg. we were in team E. so five of us were drawn, E1-E5. There were alot of team challenging 4 e competition. All well prepared. before e race starts we knw we wun make it 2 e top 10 or watsoever, our team objective was 2 enjoy ourself 4 e event. we were tagged 2gether using a rope so dat we will always b 2gether when e race in progress. We were all line up @ e starting point n e rain started 2 get heavily, but it doesn't affect e participant morale 4 e game. It was a mission based competition n we set off by running off 2 e bench, abt 1km away fr e starting pt. By e time we reach e bench, I can feel dat I'm gonna haf a hard time 4 this competition. Shit, I shldn't accept my team leader in joining. I curse him while im running. Aiya, jz wan 2 vent our my anger ma, I gt no intention. =X e 1st Mission was 2 search ping-pong ball hide beanethe e sand. We dig here n there n it took us awhile before dennis found e orange ping-pong ball! We shouted out happily when dennis found e ball. Haha...it was such a relieve n we ran towards our next mission. Goosh guess what's e next mission? it was 2 collect 20kg of sand into e bag! We turn back 2 e bench n started 2 dig n throw all e sand into e bag. We r suppose 2 run with e bag (e rope was untie) 2 our next mission point. That's soon teck Lrt. We move 4ward as a team, cross canel stream n running on e road. Lrt aft Lrt n with each lrt we saw next, we tot its soon teck LRT. running aft running n half-way thru e jounery, we haf 2 unload some sand away inorder 2 lighten e load. When we finally reached soon teck Lrt, there's a weighing machine waiting 4 us. We failed e mission, it was like 17+kg of sand n as a punishment, we need 2 run off to another point to take e 5kg bag of sand. What's next? we were given a set of 15qns, we haf 2 get 10 qns correct. e mission was 2 use a binocular 2 view some role-play @ e far end of e LRT. it's some ppl acting as terrorists n we haf 2 ans e qns like what's e camp name, hw mani terrosists in e camp, hw mani were armed etc. It took us awhile b4 we proceed. We have 2 go back 2 marina country club with e sand bag. I begin 2 curse my team leader more.. -_-" We came across a muddy stream b4 we reach e point. Goosh! It was a terrible feeling when u "dive" into e stream. So muddy!! when e moment I gt off, my shoes were filled with sand. Well well...that's e end of phrase 1 n we travel 2 pulau ubin by e ferry..it was a beautiful scenery n I was enjoying myself while on e ferry ride. We were given a life vest n u can imagine what's next. I knew dat e ferry will nt reached e shore of pulau ubin, nt bcos we nv pay 4 e ferry ticket. They were throwing us dw some distance away fr e island! 1 by 1 here we go. we were dumped into e sea. its like titanic. Alot of ppl struggling in e sea. e diff is ... 1)there's no Jack n Rose..2) it didn't hit ani giant ice berg.3) E ferry was stopped using e engine by human (intentionally I guess).4) e sea was not as cold as e sea dat Jack n Rose were in.5) there's no "Promise me...no matter what happened, u must stay alive.." n lastly... 6) all of us stay alive. =) Well, enuff of e crappy titanic classic. Did u fall aslp while reading this blog entry? it's a long story, bt pls bear with it n hopefully u enjoyed urself while reading. "promise me..no matter wat, mz continue 2 read"..BECAUSE IT TAKES SO MUCH OF MY TIME 2 BLOG! =P Get serious n get going... We swam 2 a small island (I believed that was nt pulau ubin) n pulau ubin is @ e other end of e small isalnd! It was nt a good sign. e team captain was handed over a mission card. all e team were spilt up. e mission was 2 find other team members 2 form up a team(etc E1, G3, f5 etc). I was shouting out loudly insearch 4 e people. Finally I found 3 n 1 more was missing. We jz "grabbed" 1 ppl 2 form a team. Here we go, using ropes, barrel n logs 2 form up a raft. We "drifts" ourself 2 e pulau ubin shore. every1 in e team work as a team eventhough we r nt e utimate team. Chim huh...our objective was clear. 2 get e f***ing raft e 2 shore, n nt 4geting e 5 of us too. I was like 2km? hmm...paddling n paddling n e shore was like telling u 1 2 ur ear "YOU ARE NOT GONNA B HERE". e cloud was forming in shape of "TRY HARDER, GOD BLESS" May b im in illusion n my legs cramped a few times while swimming! Ma fa, life goes on n I reached e shore crying out loud. I'll skip a few missions as I tink dat my story is getting boring as I can c a few of u are yawning..ZzZ.. e main highlight of e event was e last mission. we were so hungry n we need 2 tasked 2 seach our food (maggi mee). Mass tin, matches, maggi mee etc etc were spreaded at e diff location in e island. Dennis complain pain on his leg n we haf 2 give up 4 e competition. We were at e jetty n guess wat we do? We rented bicycle @ $4. Whaha.. I was so happy!! it's like a dream come true n we haf enuff! e game coordinator tried 2 stop us by saying "u guys will b disqualified if e mode of transport was using bicycle n nt foot". Heck la, disqualified disqualified lor..most imptly is 2 enjoy urself. We continued our plan as we tink dat what's impt is 2 make urself happy n who cares abt e prize. we were offcially D.I.S.Q.U.A.L.I.F.I.E.D! team cck was disqualified as it was annouced by e officials using walky-talky. HAHA.. we behave like a child with pure playing intention. We travel ard e island with e bicycle (not 4gting its heavily downpour). it was such a romance 2 b enjoying riding. E rest of e participates were watching us while we ere traveling. "what e hell were this bunch of ppl with e bicycle?" we were proud 2 say 2 them dat we r D.I.S.Q.U.A.L.I.F.I.E.D. Up slope n down slope. pt 2 pt we collected our stuff. We were e "6th" 2 reached e finishing pt. Whaha..last mission I was being thrown into e maze. It was a total darkness maze @ e pulau ubin npcc camp. yes..total darkness n u cant even c ur hands! I reached e dead end n completely lost my way. My team mates shouted 4 my name n infact I went back 2 e starting pt! Heng, no1 was dw there as every1 were @ e finishing pt. =P heng nv malu...I closed e door n continued my game. my 2nd attempt was successful. Hw I make it? I was surging 4ward by crawling using both of my legs 2 sense e direction. Hehe...clever ba. *thumb up* J division commander was down there when I came back of e maze. Video cam was capturing me, I was so paiseh. *_* supposingly there's e jetty jump bt due 2 e bad weather condition, e station was pulled out.

it's makan time! We haf our buffet near 2 e shore n here's e prize presentation. every1 were presented a "finisher" medal n a black t-shirt printed HTWS 05. luckily e organisation was kind enuff 2 give us e medals. We were nt booed when I came 4ward 2 collect e prize. Hehe...

Aft e meal, e ferry left e island @ 1630hrs. We had a happy outing...isn't it? I fell aslp half-way thru while viewing e beautiful scenery once again. Good bye Pulau Ubin!

Believe in S.I.M.P.L.E Life..

Finally it's e end of yr period. It's like a winter season of Singapura. I luv e mth of Nov & Dec. so windy out there. drizzing cum windy makes my day. It's such an enjoyment 2 b on e street enojoy e moment of breeze. I guess this is hw u enjoy life. Doing wat u luv 2 do w/o ani restrictions, like a bird dat fly high on e sky. When u feel like flying, u travel on ur wings. When u feel like resting, u rested on e nest.

A wonderful life isn't earning alot of $ by working on high position. Do u tink u realli stay happy in dat manner? living under stress. I believed no1 will like 2 b staying in dat state. 1 day u will b emotionally ruined by e stressful spell. 1 day u might even tot of ending ur life, if ur stressful life persist. Yes, u might b having a high income bt at the same time u r living in a fearful life. U look at e childrens fighting over parent's will over at e court. U look at couple n family quarrel over money. Money is evil. if 1 day e world gonna live w/o $, i'll b e 1st 2 agree. Human live in a simple manner when there's no temptations.

I told myself dat I wan 2 lead a simple life. S.I.M.P.L.E life can still b attained in Singapore. Bt 1st u gonna haf e belief in urself n soon u will b leading a simple life with happiness... That's also my Belief coz I believe....

Farewell 2 grandma

12/11/2005 is e day where my grandma left this world. Born in e year of 1918, at e age 87. She left this world finally after she had suffered so much for the few years. Suffered from diabetes,hypertension n final stage of renal failure, in which it caused e inability of her kidneys to excrete wastes and to help maintain the electrolyte balance. e cortege held @ Blk 629B Senja Road. 16/11/2005 marks e day she left us...physically she's no longer exists, bt she will stay alive in our memories 4 e rest of our life. my brother n cousin carried her coffin n left e place @ 1230hrs, heading 2 mandai crematorium. @ about 1315hrs, her body was reducing to ashes.. e moments where e coffin was send into e crematorium, tears dropped off n I wished her all e best 4 her after life.

Death comes 2 every man n no doubt her departure comes with sadness. I grown up @ commonweath crescent (grandma hse) n most of my childish dayz were spent down there, 2gether with my cousin n brother. Since sec sch time, I stopped going 2 my grandma hse. Bt I can still rem her curry chicken was our No.1 dish, bt few yrs ago, her leg was manipulated n she haf 2 sit on e wheelchair all day long. In another way its gd 4 her 2 depart, aft her duty as a mother was fulfilled. There was nothing 2 regret abt n her ash was sited beside my grandpa, who passed away on 2001. When my grandpa passed away, e family also brought a "place" in advance n nw finally both of them can b 2gether in netherland...happily ever after..

Another Good Deed Done

Wah! I feel so happy 2dae...cos I've done something which I felt was meaningful. Altot 2dae quite bz over the front desk, on the road later den expected....attended 2 a case of mother "dumping" her 3 kids, age 14(male),13 n 12(female).

E story starts 2dae when e mother came to post to infd that her kids r beyond parent ctrl. All stopped schling n quite naughty. e mother infd that all 3 childs usually dun come back home n e mother under financial difficulty, father nw serving sentence in jail. She rented out the unit to tenant n stayed outside. Did not gif pocket $ 2 her child as she felt they r realli gt her out of her hand. When e mother returns home, discovered that the son brought a girls back n previously e mother warned e son nt 2 do so. Son claims that she's onli her sis frd. E most interesting part was dat when we arrived, e 3 child n e "sis frd" was around. the mother was very angry n requested all of them 2 move out! Yes, move out, she claim dat e child will haf a place 2 stay as they gt alot of frds out there. e 12 yo daughter called her Mum n she dun even look @ her n even warned her not to call her mum as she's dishearted for their behavour.

A broken family. Really a broken family. All knw hw 2 smk including of sniffing glue, as wat e mother claim. Mother found part time job recently bt she infd that e child makes her worry n she quit e job bcos of them. When I ask e son hw he survive out there, he told mi dat sometimes his frd will spare him a $1 kind of cup noodle 2 fill his stomach n I believe wat he said. E daughters will stay @ hm n son will usually hang out there, ocassionally come back home. They were all hungry (I guess) n I asked e young daughter "r u hungry" she nod her head n asked mi 2 buy her a bread. I forked out $10 2 her 2 buy some bread n water for e siblings. I felt so happy e moment brought all e food back n shared with siblings. E son was surprised when he saw it n kept asking who brought e food 4 them. Can c them smiling...a smile str8 fr e heart. It was so pure.

How's e ending? We brought e 3 kids to e unit 2gether with e mother. They packed their belongings with a black rubbish bag with neighbour asking e kids wat happened n look surprised. Can c dat they haf nt learn their lesson. Can c dat smiling while packing. E moment they walked out, with e son carry 2 big packed of rubbish bag (like illegal VCD seller), I felt that such world exists such kind of person? A mother who's so hardless. Hw can u do dat 2 ur child? No matter hw naughty they r , they r ur own flesh blood. They r young n grew up in an unhealthy enviornment. Haiz...they sit on e mobile car n left e sad place. Luckily e mother frd whom they address as auntie brought them 2 safe custody. E son told mi dat when e mother knw that they r going over 2 e auntie hse, e mother called up n asked e auntie nt 2 take them in. MEAN...a real meanie. She told mi dat she's reaching e end of road n intending 2 sold off e unit off. E auntie was advised 2 bring them 2 e MCYS 2 seek help. E future of those little kids? Who knw...hopefully they will learn their lesson, in a very hard manner.... All e best, child!

Life's fair?

Nothing much 2 blog actually..fr here u shld knw hw's my life... nothing special, quite routine. Anyway my birthday's is coming. Wondering hw many rem dat. So on the actual day we shall c. Nothing special 2 celebrate this yr. Still single lor..times flies n nw im single for 1 yr 8mths. My longest gf-less spell since I 1st fall in luv. hw long will it strench 2? A life time? It's nt a curse...it's jz a waiting moment I guess.Anyway my 1st luv is getting married lor. Haha..im so happy 4 her n hopefully she found the right 1 ba. Some ppl say m i disappointed? Of course no la! mi n her affairs was donkey yrs ago liao lor. Jz frd n that's it. She's 4mths pregnant n can c dat she's very proud of it. Ohh..my sqmate also getting married. 21 tis yr, another shot-gun case. 2 mi marriage is far fr reach, nt aft the gun is shot.. Lolz..abit dirty-MINDed. Hope u guys dun MIND. What u expect fr a 22yrs old uncle? young n innocent? Nahz...

rite nw still gt no1 in mind leh...getting more n more -ve thoughts since I join the force. also attended dispute cases btw husband n wife, spousal violence! Can c hw useless guys can b, how poor the ladies in this society. So I told myself nt 2 get married if she's nt the one n I dun wish 2 marry sum1 who kept complaining abt her life. I wan her 2 b jz happy being with me. This is for sure. In life, I dun like 2 compare bcso I tink human r both in a enviornment dat r all plainly on luck. Some may leads a wealthy life n some may b less fortunate. I jz hate 2 c those ppl who discriminate btw races, those richman son dat looks dw on the poors n play jokes on them. I dun gif a damn 2 those ppl, they r simply worthless in my eye. 0_o

Ohh actually im passing my time dw here as I'm having my in-service later on. As usual, I woke up yest at about 12+am n nw I haf 2 tahan lor...7.00am preparing. 54mins away fr dat. Not too long, listening 2 songs fr Fm radio..relaxing.. k la got 2 stop now. go n nua on my bed till 7.00am. Lazy Lazy Lazy..
